We'd Love to Hear from You
"I need to find a nursing home for my mom."
"My father-in-law needs information on transportation options and he is unable to drive or use Metro."
"I'm providing regular care for my adult son that has a disability. I need help!"
"Who do I call?!"
Finding help when you need it can be a daunting task. Navigating the maze of community and government programs is much easier when you have a helping hand to guide you. Information & Assistance (I&A) programs provide this helping hand, making it easier for older adults and their families to access resources that meet their needs.
Aging and Disability Services (ADS)—the Area Agency on Aging for Seattle-King County—currently funds I&A programs that will expand to assist older adults and people with disabilities in planning for living independently in the community. ADS also funds caregiver programs that support unpaid family caregivers of adults age 18 and older.
ADS will conduct a Request for Proposals process and distribute funds to programs that can best ensure that older adults and people with disabilities throughout our communities can access services. As part of that process, ADS would like community input. Please take a few moments to complete an online survey, which will help us make these important funding decisions.
Click here to take the survey. Survey is open through September.
